The 1RM Shadow Series 45 Degree Leg Press is designed for lower-body strength training, using a plate-loaded carriage that travels along a fixed linear path. This provides a smooth, controlled pressing movement for targeting the quadriceps, glutes and hamstrings using Olympic weight plates.

Features

The 45 Degree Leg Press is designed and constructed for regular commercial use, with a heavy-duty steel frame and durable matte black powdercoated finish. The frame uses substantial 90 x 130 x 3mm and 50 x 100 x 3mm steel sections to support the carriage and provide stability during loaded exercises.

The carriage travels along precision guide rails using linear bearings. This bearing-supported system provides smooth, consistent movement throughout the pressing range, reducing friction between the carriage and guide rails. The machine has a starting resistance of approximately 47kg before additional weight plates are loaded.

A large foot platform provides a stable contact surface for the feet and accommodates different foot positions. Users can adjust their stance to suit their body proportions and training requirements, with the fixed linear movement allowing the legs to be trained without the balance demands of free-weight exercises.

The adjustable backrest offers three positions, allowing users to change their seated angle and position relative to the foot platform. The seat and backrest feature supportive high-density foam padding with durable upholstery, providing a firm training surface during loaded leg presses.

Integrated carriage release handles allow the user to disengage the catches when beginning a set and secure the carriage when finishing. A separate lower safety stop limits the carriage's downward travel, providing an additional mechanical safeguard during training.

The carriage features stainless steel Olympic loading sleeves, with 380mm front loading sleeves and 420mm rear loading sleeves on each side. These provide substantial loading space for 50mm Olympic weight plates. Additional 200mm plate storage posts are integrated into the rear frame, keeping spare plates accessible and organised between sets.
