    Why Trigger Point?

Trigger Point products are engineered around a proprietary multi-density foam construction that replicates the feeling of a skilled massage therapist's hands - providing varying pressure to match the density of different tissue layers. Unlike basic foam rollers that provide uniform density throughout, Trigger Point's GRID technology creates a more effective and targeted treatment.

    • Multi-density GRID surface mimics hands-on massage therapy

    • Hollow core construction allows the foam to compress and flex, increasing blood flow

    • Designed and tested with the world's leading physical therapists and performance coaches

    • Used by professional sports teams across the NFL, NBA, MLB and Olympic programs

    • Backed by an extensive library of free instructional videos on the Trigger Point website

    The Trigger Point range

    GRID Foam Rollers

The Trigger Point foam roller range is built around the GRID - a hollow-core roller with a patented multi-density surface featuring channels, ridges and grids designed to target specific tissue depths. Available in three models:

    • GRID 1.0 - The original, medium-density GRID roller (13 x 33cm). The best entry point into the GRID range - suitable for most users and training types.

    • GRID 2.0 - Larger than the 1.0 (15 x 66cm), with the same multi-density surface. Better for larger muscle groups and users who want more rolling length.

    • GRID X - Extra firm version of the GRID 1.0. Designed for experienced users who need deeper, more intense tissue work.

    Vibrating GRID Rollers

Trigger Point's GRID VIBE and Charge VIBE models combine the GRID foam roller surface with vibration therapy for enhanced circulation and deeper muscle relaxation. Vibration has been shown to increase the effectiveness of foam rolling by reducing muscle guarding and allowing deeper penetration of the tissue.

    Massage Balls

The Trigger Point ball range includes:

    • MobiPoint Massage Ball - a firm, smooth massage ball designed for targeted myofascial release. Slightly larger than a lacrosse ball for broader coverage.

    • Nano - a compact vibrating massage ball with 4 vibration frequencies. Perfect for use against a wall, on the floor or between two surfaces for precise trigger point work.

    • MB VIBE - full-size vibrating massage ball for deeper tissue treatment with the benefits of vibration therapy.

    Trigger Point FAQs

The Trigger Point GRID features a patented multi-density surface with different channel widths and foam densities built into the outer layer. This creates varying pressure patterns as you roll, similar to what a massage therapist achieves with their fingers, knuckles and palm. A standard smooth foam roller provides uniform pressure throughout.

Most users start with the GRID 1.0 - it is the best entry-level Trigger Point foam roller for most rolling techniques, medium-density enough to suit a wide range of sensitivity levels, and the most widely used model. If you are an experienced roller who finds standard foam rollers too soft, the GRID X (extra firm) is a better starting point.

Yes. The GRID 1.0 and 2.0 are appropriate for beginners. The GRID X is firmer and better suited to experienced users. Trigger Point also offers extensive free instructional content to help new users develop the correct technique.

All Trigger Point products can be used by beginners and experienced users alike - the best option usually comes down to personal preference and how much pressure you prefer during recovery work.

Yes - daily use is recommended for best results. Even 5-10 minutes a day with a Trigger Point foam roller or Trigger Point ball, focusing on the areas most relevant to your training, can produce significant improvements in tissue quality and range of motion over time.
