Training stations provide targeted, machine-based strength training for a wide range of users and training environments. Unlike free weights alone, training stations offer controlled movement patterns and consistent resistance throughout the exercise, making them suitable for everything from rehabilitation and general fitness through to serious strength training.

Since 2009, Little Bloke Fitness has supplied Australian home gyms, PT studios and commercial facilities with training station equipment built for long-term use. Our range includes cable machines, lat pulldown and low row units, pin loaded isolation machines, functional trainers, roman chairs and multi-station commercial cable systems.

    Why choose a training station?

Training stations deliver targeted muscle work with built-in load management. Whether you're isolating a specific muscle group on a single-function machine or training full-body cable movements on a functional trainer rack, a training station provides consistent mechanics that free weights alone can't always replicate - particularly for isolation work, constant-tension movements, and bilateral cable training.

They're especially useful for movements that are harder to load effectively with barbells or dumbbells, and for training through a full range of motion with constant tension across the movement arc.

Our range includes everything from compact single-function machines through to commercial multi-station cable systems, allowing you to choose equipment that suits your training goals, available space and user volume.

    Perfect for:

    • Targeted isolation work - legs, back, chest, arms, and core

    • Cable-based training where constant tension and adjustable angle matter

    • Commercial and studio setups that need machine variety in a structured range

    • Consolidating multiple training functions into a single footprint

    • Rehabilitation and controlled strength training where repeatable resistance is important

Features of our training station range

Our training station range covers single-function through to multi-station commercial configurations:

    • Pin loaded weight stack systems with selector pin for fast resistance adjustment between sets

    • Integrated cable and pulley systems with smooth, consistent tension

    • Single-function isolation machines covering leg, back, chest, arm, and core movements

    • Multi-station cable systems designed for commercial facilities with multiple simultaneous users

    • Heavy-gauge steel frame construction with commercial-grade build quality

    • Adjustable seat, pad, and handle positions to accommodate different body sizes and training requirements

Equipment to pair with your training station

    Expand your training setup with:

    • Weight Plates - for plate-loaded training station configurations

    • Cable Attachments - ropes, bars, handles, and ankle straps for cable machine exercise variety

    • Adjustable Benches - for press and supported movement variations

    • Smith Machines - for guided barbell training alongside cable stations

    • Gym Flooring - rubber tiles and mats to protect your floor and create a stable training surface

    Training station FAQs

Pin loaded machines use a built-in weight stack with a selector pin, making resistance adjustment fast and consistent between sets. Plate loaded machines use manually loaded weight plates to build resistance, which typically allows a wider overall load range. Each type has practical advantages depending on your setup and how you train - our team can talk you through the options.

A single station machine is designed for one or two specific movements. A multi-station cable machine allows multiple users to train simultaneously on different cable stations from the same structure. The right configuration depends on your space, the number of users, and your training requirements.

Cable machines complement free weights rather than replace them. They're particularly effective for movements where constant tension through the full range matters - cable flies, rows, curls, tricep work, and core movements. Most training setups benefit from a combination of both.

Most standalone pin loaded machines are freestanding and don't require floor anchoring for normal use. For high-traffic commercial environments, we recommend following manufacturer installation guidelines - contact us for specific setup requirements for any machine.

Yes. Many training stations are designed specifically for home gyms, including compact cable machines, lat pulldowns and multi-function units. The right choice depends on your available space, training goals and budget.
