Do Not:

Throw or drop the dumbbells from excessive height.
Throw or drop the dumbbells onto concrete or other hard, abrasive or uneven surfaces.
Strike the dumbbells together or against other equipment.
Store or use the dumbbells outdoors or expose them to excessive moisture.
Store the dumbbells in direct sunlight for extended periods.
Allow sweat, chalk, dirt or other contaminants to accumulate on the handles or knurling. Clean the dumbbells regularly and brush the knurling as required to prevent build-up and corrosion.
Clean the dumbbells with harsh or unsuitable chemicals.
Modify the dumbbells in any way.

Warranty Exclusions:

Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, surface scratches, scuffs, chips, fading and discolouration.
Normal wear or deterioration of the polyurethane surface.
Cuts, chips or other polyurethane damage caused by impact or contact with sharp or abrasive surfaces.
Loose or damaged dumbbell heads resulting from repeated dropping, throwing or impact.
Damage caused by misuse, abuse, excessive impact or improper storage.
Corrosion resulting from moisture, sweat, improper storage or inadequate maintenance.
Damage or deterioration resulting from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or UV.
Damage resulting from inadequate maintenance.
Damage resulting from unauthorised modification or repair.

What does CPU mean?

CPU stands for Cast Polyurethane. It is a durable material commonly used for commercial dumbbells and fixed barbells due to its resistance to wear, low odour and easy-to-clean surface.

What is the difference between CPU, TPU and rubber coatings?

CPU, TPU and rubber are common coatings used on dumbbells and fixed barbells, with different levels of durability and suitability for training environments.

CPU (Cast Polyurethane) is a premium coating offering excellent resistance to abrasion, cuts, scuffing and general wear. Its long-term durability makes it particularly suitable for high-traffic commercial gyms.

TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) is a lower-cost alternative to CPU. While similar in appearance, it generally offers less resistance to wear, scratching and surface deterioration, particularly under heavy commercial use.

Rubber is a proven, durable and cost-effective coating that provides good impact protection and noise reduction. It is an excellent choice for home gyms, PT studios and light commercial environments.

NOTE: When purchasing polyurethane dumbbells or barbells, always confirm whether the coating is CPU or TPU. Although they can look similar, their manufacturing processes and long-term durability differ. Not all suppliers clearly disclose which material they use.

Available from 1kg through to 50kg and supplied as pairs, the range provides weight options for everything from lighter accessory work through to heavier strength training.

Features

Each dumbbell uses a precision-machined steel head core encased in cast polyurethane. The polyurethane outer helps protect the underlying steel while providing a durable training surface designed to withstand regular contact and handling in commercial gym environments.

Each dumbbell uses a precision-machined steel head core encased in cast polyurethane, commonly referred to as CPU. The polyurethane provides a durable outer surface with good resistance to scuffing and marking, while producing less odour than traditional rubber and being easy to clean and maintain. It also helps the dumbbells retain their appearance through repeated use, making them well suited to high-use training environments.

The round polyurethane heads feature clearly marked kilogram weight identification, making each dumbbell easy to identify when selecting weights from a rack.

Each dumbbell features a straight hardened chrome handle designed to resist wear and corrosion through regular use. The knurled grip provides additional purchase through pressing, rowing, curling and other dumbbell exercises without requiring an excessively aggressive grip surface.

The range covers 1kg through to 50kg, with 1kg increments from 1kg to 10kg and 2.5kg increments from 2.5kg to 50kg. This provides closely spaced loading options for gradual progression while extending through to heavier dumbbells for more demanding strength exercises.
