Each dumbbell uses a precision-machined steel head core encased in cast polyurethane. The polyurethane outer helps protect the underlying steel while providing a durable training surface designed to withstand regular contact and handling in commercial gym environments.

The polyurethane provides a durable outer surface with good resistance to scuffing and marking, while producing less odour than traditional rubber and being easy to clean and maintain. It also helps the dumbbells retain their appearance through repeated use, making them well suited to high-use training environments.
The round polyurethane heads feature clearly marked kilogram weight identification, making each dumbbell easy to identify when selecting weights from a rack.
Each dumbbell features a straight hardened chrome handle designed to resist wear and corrosion through regular use. The knurled grip provides additional purchase through pressing, rowing, curling and other dumbbell exercises without requiring an excessively aggressive grip surface.
