Box Hill High school is a co-educational public high school located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. With an enrolment of around 1500 students, it caters for students from year 7 through to 12.
The team at Box Hill High School approached LBF to help them reinvent their 110sqm weights room – a great space that sits just off their impressive basketball court / open gym area. The school required a training space that could accommodate large groups of students at one time and provide a wide range of equipment to allow staff variety when planning classes.
Inside Box Hill High Schools new gym you will find two 1RM Commercial Squat Racks with incorporated plate storage, which in conjunction with a range of benches, barbells and bumper plates allows students to complete a full training program. Other core pieces in the gym include a range of dual function pin-loaded machines from the Impulse Fitness range as well as a number of Bodyworx spin bikes.
Mixed implements such as dumbbells, kettlebells, slam balls, core bags and suspension trainers complete the room – with all equipment neatly stored way when not in use.
Testimonial
Working alongside Dan and the team at LBF to create a new weightroom at Box Hill High School has been a wonderful experience. What started off as a small project to replace some flooring quickly grew into a full-scale makeover of the space, resulting in a weight room that is now highly functional for use in both our PE lessons and extracurricular gym club. From planning through to install, Dan was highly supportive, providing great advice around maximising functionality of the space and appropriate equipment for our context. There was also a lot of flexibility to meet our evolving needs. Overall, really satisfied with the expertise and service provided and would recommend to any other schools considering an upgrade.
