Bumper plate packages provide a complete weight set for Olympic lifting, functional training and barbell conditioning. Instead of buying individual plates and trying to piece together the right combination, a bumper package gives you a balanced set of plates ready for barbell training from day one.
Pre-configured with the most common training weights, bumper packages offer better value than buying plates individually while ensuring you have the right combination of plates for progressive loading and technique work.
We offer bumper packages to suit both home gyms and commercial facilities.
Our 360 Strength crumb rubber bumpers are a proven choice for home training and general strength work — tough, forgiving and great value.
For commercial gyms and Olympic lifting environments, our PRO HG and competition bumper packages use virgin rubber construction and tighter tolerances for more consistent loading and controlled bounce during barbell training.
Since 2009, Little Bloke Fitness has supplied bumper plates and barbell equipment to home gyms, strength clubs and commercial training facilities across Australia.
If you're unsure which bumper package suits your setup, our team can help.

What's the difference between a bumper package and buying individual plates?
A bumper plate set gives you a balanced selection of weights in one purchase, typically at a discounted price compared to buying each pair separately. It simplifies the buying process and ensures you have a practical spread of weights to start training.
What package size do I need for home gym use?
Most home gym users find a 100–150kg bumper package sufficient to start. This typically includes enough plates to load 60–80kg per side, which covers most training needs for Olympic lifts, squats, and deadlifts.
What's included in a bumper package?
Packages include pairs of plates in common training weights. For example, a 60kg package includes 2x5kg, 2x10kg, and 2x15kg plates.
Can I add individual plates later?
Yes. All bumpers are sold in individual pairs if you need to expand your collection.
What's the difference between crumb rubber and virgin rubber?
Crumb rubber bumpers are made from recycled rubber and are typically thicker with a slightly higher bounce. They’re a durable and affordable option for general training.
Virgin rubber bumpers, such as our PRO HG and calibrated competition bumpers, are manufactured from new rubber compounds. They allow tighter weight tolerances, a thinner plate profile and more controlled bounce, making them better suited to Olympic lifting and commercial training environments.
Do I need a platform to use bumper plates?
If you plan on dropping the bar during Olympic lifts, a weightlifting platform or appropriate rubber flooring at minimum is recommended. While bumper plates are designed to be dropped, proper flooring protects both the equipment and the training surface.
