Rubber gym flooring protects both your training space and equipment during strength training, conditioning and functional workouts. Designed to absorb impact and reduce vibration, rubber flooring is widely used in home gyms, PT studios and commercial training facilities to help protect the subfloor when barbells, dumbbells and machines are used regularly.

Since 2009, Little Bloke Fitness has supplied Australian gyms with commercial-grade rubber flooring engineered for daily use. Our 15mm rubber gym flooring options include classic fleck designs and solid black finishes, all manufactured from high-density rubber that delivers long-term durability and impact protection.

Why Choose 15mm Rubber Gym Flooring?

Rubber gym flooring protects the subfloor from heavy equipment, dropped weights and daily gym use. It also helps reduce vibration and noise while providing stable footing for strength training and conditioning work.

High-density rubber absorbs impact from barbells, dumbbells and machines while helping protect the underlying surface from damage.

15 mm rubber flooring is a popular choice for many gym environments because it offers a strong balance of impact protection and practicality. It works well in most strength training areas, free weight sections and home gyms.

    Rubber Flooring FAQs

    What thickness do I need?

15 mm rubber flooring suits all commercial and home gym environments including free weights, dumbbells, strength training and general conditioning work.

If your gym involves frequent barbell drops or dedicated Olympic lifting areas, or you like a slightly spongier feeling underfoot, thicker flooring may be preferred. In those environments many facilities choose 20 mm rubber tiles with connector systems, which provide additional impact absorption and stability.

Can I install rubber flooring myself?

Yes. 15mm rubber tiles are designed for straightforward installation. The subfloor should be clean and level before laying the tiles, and ramps or corner pieces can be added to finish exposed edges.

Is rubber flooring suitable for cardio equipment?

Yes. Rubber flooring provides stable footing and vibration dampening for treadmills, bikes and rowers.

How do I clean rubber gym flooring?

Sweep regularly and mop with mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals that can degrade rubber.
