Some style of weight bench can be found in almost any gym in the world. While some weight benches can be similar to look at, they are often be made with different purposes in mind, from the flat bench to the adjustable bench (FID or Flat, Incline Decline), the bench press , utility bench, and speciality benches like the preacher curl bench.

Racks and Cages


Different versions of power racks or cages and squat stands and squat racks can be found in almost any gym in the world. Their core purpose is assist the lifter to safely conduct a free-weight workout using a barbell without the movement restrictions imposed by equipment such as the Smith machine, or without having to attempt to lift and position a heavily loaded bar off the ground.

Smith Machines


Smith Machines allow athletes to safely lift a barbell mounted on steel rails in a vertical movement, without a spotter. This allows heavier weights to be lifted during solo training sessions. The smith machine is great for unstable lifters or beginners. It teaches them how to lift weights straight up without too much lateral movement that could lead to serious injury.

Training Stations


There are many different types of >training stations available – outside of the mainstream benches and racks – to help with your training. These include single station workout equipment that targets one or two exercises per machine and are great for working specific muscle groups and multi-station gyms that can be used for a number of different exercises – and are great for working working a number of different muscle groups.
